Psychotherapist Montpellier – Judith Gleba Kressmann
Open your past to discover your future now.
As an American living in France for most of my adult life, with over 25 years of experience in coaching and confidence-building in the professional sector, as well as having a degree in Applied Psychotherapy from the International School of Applied Psychoanalysis, I am honored to assist people in finding their way to a brighter future.
Psychoanalysis opens the passageway from the psyche to the conscious. The development of one’s self is founded deep within, embedded from the earliest age. Our upbringing influences who we are today ; yet, we needn’t be a victim of it. Applied psychotherapy provides the tools for understanding one’s past in order to be liberated and free to move forward.
The objective of analyitical psychotherapy is to resolve certain inner conflicts via a deeper understanding of one self, of the environment from which we come, allowing us to recognize and overcome our obstacles. We are all faced with issues which prevent us from moving forward, or going for what we seek.
The length of therapy depends on the needs of each individual or couple ; it is based, not only on listening, but also an interactive exchange. The role of the therapist is to guide, not command. Communication is the key in all relationships, and is vital for a solid trust between counselor and patient.
Applied pscyhoanalysis teaches us to tune into the unconscious, leading to transference between patient and therapist. The bond is one of mutual trust and committment. This connection leads to self-awareness and self-confidence.
The role of the the analytical therapist is to provide a safe, secure and « neutral » environment in which you will have the keys to understand your past, and to open the door to a brighter future.
Seeking therapy is a step towards healing and problem-solving. Applied psychotherapy gives the tools to break free from what is holding us back. I am located in the center of Montpellier, France, and I see adults, teens and couples. I am bilingual in English and and French.
